I spent November 2016 at Arteles Creative Centre in Finland, where I explored field recordings, acoustic guitar, sonification (through drawing lines traced in photographs as percussion lines in Ableton and hexadecimal data) and audio-reactive visuals in Adobe AfterEffects. It was a very invigorating residency that gave me the opportunity to be quietly observing place, and to be present with my thoughts.
I later released the works from the residency as a six-track EP, There Is No Escape From Yourself.
